The Sharjah Light Festival 2025 is one of the most visually captivating cultural events in the United Arab Emirates. Held every February, this annual festival transforms iconic landmarks across Sharjah into dazzling works of art using light, projection mapping, and immersive visual storytelling.

Organized by the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority, the event attracts millions of visitors each year and serves as a tribute to the Emirate’s architectural, cultural, and historical beauty. With installations across heritage buildings, mosques, and popular cityscapes, it blends innovation with tradition like no other.

Located near University City Hall, Light Village is the heart of the festival. It features a stunning light museum, a variety of food stalls, and interactive exhibits showcasing Sharjah’s milestones.

Al Noor Mosque stands out for its intricate Islamic architecture. During the festival, it becomes a glowing canvas where light projections tell stories of culture and faith, making it one of the most photographed spots.

This scenic stretch becomes a walking gallery featuring student-created artworks projected using over 80 projectors. The initiative highlights Sharjah’s focus on nurturing young artistic talent.

In Khor Fakkan, the Al Rafisah Dam becomes a unique storytelling venue. The projection mapping here narrates the fictional journey of a traveler and his discovery that impacts both humans and wildlife.

This year, the Kalba Clock Tower presents the “Blue Hour” — a visual interpretation of nature’s most striking light just before sunrise or sunset. It’s a peaceful, immersive display of colors and patterns.

The building’s projection theme is “Growing Together in Harmony and Peace.” It features a moving visual journey of transformation and hope, complemented by geometric motifs and floral digital artistry.

One of Sharjah’s most popular destinations, Al Majaz Waterfront showcases “Echoes of Dawn,” a performance combining over 150 LED panels and ambient music. Islamic geometric patterns are used to illustrate local heritage and architectural influence.
